Hi! My name is Bailey Coronis and I am a sophomore at Drake University. I am working towards achieving a BAJMC in Digital Media Production and a BFA in Acting. I have experience in running social media accounts, public relations, videography and news writing. I am also proficient in Adobe (InDesign and Photoshop), Microsoft and Google.

At Drake, I try to stay involved in as many ways as I can. I currently write for Drake Magazine and The Times-Delphic. I am a fitness instructor who teaches hip-hop dance style classes (I’m just as surprised as you are) at GroupX Fitness in the Bell Center. I am also the communications chair and a member of Drake’s only co-ed and elite acapella group, Fermata the Blue.

Even though I consider the production of media to be my main focus at Drake, I am also very involved in the world of theatre. I have been involved in several main stage productions at Drake and am constantly taking classes so that I will be able to achieve my BFA. I have worked as the Publicity Coordinator for the theatre department which has combined my passion for theatre with my work in public relations. I also work as a director at Saint Augustin’s School where I work with middle schoolers to direct and choreograph their annual musical (a highlight of the cold winter season).

One of the highlights of my professional career thus far came the summer after my senior year of high school. I was given the opportunity to move to Los Angeles for the summer to be a production on the television show, Top Chef Junior. This position gave me the ability to learn all about the ways and inner-workings of a full scale television production. While on set, I worked directly with cast and talent, with the art and culinary department as well as assisting producers and doing office work. I am so thankful that I had the chance to work on set and it definitely shaped gave me a great understanding of all the parts that work together on a television set.

Originally, I come from Mendota Heights, a suburb about five minutes away from Saint Paul. I have a passion for consuming television, news, movies and music which is apparent in my interests and writing. I am very much in love with my two dogs at home, Bella and Finley (or Finn for short)! I also love being outside whether I be journalling, hiking or going for a swim.
